Currently, Angel Horse Rescue is at full capacity. Due to the combination of drought (our grazing pastures have dried up), the skyrocketing grain prices, hay shortage, worsening economy, etc. we can no longer afford to accept any additional horses at this time and must utilize our resources to continue providing ongoing care and rehabilitation for the rescue horses that we have already committed to in our care.

Angel Horse Rescue, Inc. is a non profit organization located in Northeast Oklahoma dedicated to providing rescue, rehabilitation and adoption services for abused, neglected and abandoned equines as well as horses at risk of slaughter for human consumption overseas. We are not able to investigate or prosecute cruelty cases and we have no authority to seize animals, nor are we a government funded shelter or pound. Please direct calls regarding stray animals and suspected cruelty, abuse and/or neglect to the proper authorities in your area. Please feel free to browse our website, read the horse's stories and follow their progress. We are a 100% volunteer run organization and all funds go directly for the benefit, care and feeding of the horses and all donations are tax deductible to the donor to the extent permitted by law.
PLEASE NOTE: Visitors are welcome at the rescue, however the rescue horses are fostered on private property and we do ask that you call and make an appointment so that a volunteer will be available to meet you.
